VFW Pinball Museum Game Pictures
1993 Dataeast Tommy Prototype pinball machine
Building Location: Main_C3
Game Type = SS

Dataeast made ten Tommy Prototype games in 1994 for the Dallas opening of the Tommy musical play. After the show, the Tommy game was completely changed for the production version. The prototype games have different playfield layout design and artwork. For example, the prototype has six pop bumpers, an EM chime box, a second knocker, and other playing changes. The backbox translight is different too. The blinders are indeed present in the prototype game, though they function differently. We are honored to have one of the ten Dataeast Tommy prototype pinball games at the VFW Ann Arbor Pinball Museum!

This is the actual game at the VFW Pinball Museum. Any questions regardling this game, or any games for sale, please email the VFW Pinball Museum at
